please help my hair is so puffy and i need it to be super straight what can i do i straighten it every day but it doesnt work.

Here's what you'll need:

Wide-toothed comb

Straightening balm

Large round bristle brush or flat paddle brush

Flat iron (ceramic preferably)

Blow-dryer (with nozzle attachment to direct air-flow)

Non-creasing hair clips (to section hair)

*When washing hair make sure you use a good deep conditioner! Freshly conditioned hair absorbs heat better which helps when you are blow drying and flat-ironing!

Step 1. Begin with freshly washed, wet hair. Remember, when towel-drying hair, blot dry. Rubbing hair dry with a cotton towel will initiate frizzy hair. Apply your favorite STRAIGHTENING BALM. Most every hair product company has one ..just pick your favorite.

Step 2. Part hair, section and secure each with clip. Blow-dry each section twice, following round hair brush down hair shaft with blow-dryer. Also, remember to blow-dry the front of your hair first. Your hairline is the first part of your hair to frizz when drying, as well as the hardest to fix.

Step 3: Blow-dry each section. To reduce volume push the hair against the head and do not lift it away or turn your head upside down. Follow paddle brush down hair shaft with blow dryer. Hair should be blown completely dry before you use the flat iron.

Step 4: Finish styling by using the flat iron on each section. Remember to flat iron small sections of hair.

Finish by Applying Frizz Ease 100% Shine glossing Mist!

are you in a place where ther's a lot of humidity? cuz if u are then were a hoody while you are outside and it keeps my hair straight you can also try switching gels that you use

tey garnier's sleek and shine I think its called right befor you blow dry then staighten and add a little hair spay not too much but just a spray or two to hold it

or else eek (it hurts your hair) chemically straighten it

well there are plenty of hair care lines out today that can help you. it may be puffy because it's stripped of oils, so every other day wash your hair, but on the days off use moisturizing conditioner.

then after you straighten your hair, add some anti-frizz serum

when your hair is still wet before you dry it, comb in some leave in conditioner.

try pantene pro-v or herbal essences line specified to help straighten your hair

buy a chi they are the best straighteners.. otherwise you can get a japanese straightening which gets it bone straight but costs about 700$

I use the john freida antifrizz stuff %26amp; it works great.

First use the shampoo %26amp; conditioner, towel dry your hair, then put some of the John Freida Thermal Heat Protection serum on and blowdry.

Last put more of the serum on and straighten it in layers.

My best friend had the same problem. She uses a regular shampoo and the Sunsilk straightening conditioner. Then she blow drys it straight with a round brush. Finally if she isnt happy with how straight that made it, she'll use a straightener.

I had this EXACT same problem with my hair. It wouldn't be curly after i straightened it, but it wasn't sleek either. I went to a salon when i got my hair cut and complained about this problem and she used equal parts of Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum and Paul Mitchell's Quick Slip. Rub the two products (about 2 squirts of each for medium/short hair) into your hands until mixed and rub into wet/damp hair. This has been a LIFE SAVER for me. Now sometimes i don't even have to straighten my hair because it looks amazing naturally now. I used to hate my hair, now i feel it's my best asset! I hope this helps you, it sure helped me!

all the straightening in the world wont help if u've got split ends-trust me i know,i had the same problem

try cutting ur split ends and then use a straihtnening balm,always use heat protection!!!!!!!!

I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ugh, i tried Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Shampoo+Conditioner.........it makes your hair thinner. Thinner hair=less poof. After that I straighten it and the poof really is gone. The only problem is that it makes my hair really flat(looks bad on me b/c my head is round---%26gt; 閳? Some1 else recommended the super skinny serum, give it a try! GOOD LUCK

wash it really well the night before scrub the shampoo in really hard then put on tons of conditioner in and massage it in and relax then wash it out go to bed in the mornin wash your hair LIGHTLY with shampoo ONLY then after you washed it straight away straighten it

my hair is like that too, to get it less puffy get a conditioner from a place that sells shampoo etc. And have a shower then brush all the knots out of it they sell these cool hairbrushes that straghten your hair and there are straightening irons and iif you go to the salon they would be able to do it no problem

in my opinion to get results u want u have to put in time.

1. make sure u get a good trim every so often it will keep your ends from getting frizzy.

2. put a quarter size olive oil in your hair (more or less depending on how much hair you have.)

3. when you straighten your hair take section 1 inch thick and 2 inches wide and go from root to tip.

* hint, make sure the parts are equal so the heat can straighten evenly.

do this through out your whole head u should see a difference when your done. take your time and dont rush. ive noticed that most women and girls do a quick job and normally arent satisfied.

Ok, here's what always works for my clients:

You need a ceramic (not metal) flat iron. Hot Tools is a good brand and you can buy it at Sally's for under $20.

Go to your SALON and buy the following professional products:

1. Redken Extreme shampoo

2. Redken Extreme daily conditioner

3. Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide

4. Redken Spray Starch

5. Redken Forceful hair spray

FYI - Using professional products is the most important thing you can do to create and maintain the style you want. They cost a little more, but there's lots of good reasons for that.

Take these steps when styling your hair:

1. Shampoo and condition as usual with the Extreme products. You may not need to do it every day, but if you do, these won't leave your hair looking oily or weighed down. These two are full of protiens to repair and strengthen your hair.

2. Towel-dry hair and if you have time, let it air dry as long as possible. (Air drying cuts down on styling time and damage to the hair.)

3. Lightly coat hair (starting about 2 inches from the scalp) with a mist of Heat Glide spray and comb through.

4. Using a paddle brush (which you can also get at Sally's), blowdry hair in sections, starting with the nape of the neck and working up. You can clip wet hair up and out of the way.

5. After hair is completely dry, using the same sectioning technique, spray the section you're working with lightly with Spray Starch and comb through.

6. Starting as close to the scalp as you can safely get, slowly move the flat iron down the length of the hair section. At the ends you can turn the iron in or out a little to give it a less harsh look. *Important!* - Make sure the iron is always moving; if you hold it in one place, that causes crimping. And remember, the thinner the sections, the better your result will be.

7. When your style is complete, mist all over with Forceful spray for hold and humidity resistance.

8. If your hair is unusually dull and you feel like you need the extra shine, you can finish with a very light mist of Redken Vinyl Glam, but unless your hair is extremely dry and damaged, this is probably unnecessary.

I highly suggest you try this before getting any kind of relaxer or straightner, since those are very damaging, and in most cases, do not provide the perfectly straight result you would expect.
