What are some good inexpensive products to use before curling to make them stay in place, while keeping a natural look?

i think that link works.. if it doesnt then go to youtube then search for "how to curl using a flat iron" btw.. i burned myself doing this.. but i'm new at it.. so i suggest you watch your fingers! lol.. good luck!

try some curl enhancing spray. you can get it at any drugstore.

Straight hair won't hold curls well.. i have naurally curly hair and if i flat-iron then try to curl it, it won't hold that way either. Buy some extra hold hairspray/spritz it will keep your hair in place.. if you don't mind the stiffness. Also try maybe hair wax it holds hairstyles and shields from humidity so your hair wont frizz up
