i have wavy hair. and when i do straighten my hair, by the end of the day its still kinda straight but not as straight as when it was first done earlier in the day. the thing is..when its cold outside, my hair stays straight..but when its hot and stuff..it messes up..can anybody help me with this?? PLEEAAAAAAASEE?!?!

There's actually not much to be done about this. The reason it messes up when it's hot is because you sweat more, especially from your scalp being covered in hair, and the moisture makes your hair go curlier and/or frizier again. A stylist or a really good hair spray may be able to minimize the effect, but not totally get rid of it.

what i do is i straighten my hair and when its hot and it usually gets messed up from P.E.

so.. what helps me the best is putting it in pig tails. i have a ton of layers so i tie the rubberband where it usually starts to get wavy and i tie it there so i keeps it straight. my hair becomes wavy if it bounces alot.

after P.E. i take it out and its even straighter.

also you the herbal essense %26lt;HELLO HYDRATION%26gt; since it keeps my hair shinyy and smoothh after i straighten it!

The way your hair works with the cold and hot is probably because of the humidity. The more hot and humid it is, the more your hair is going to "frizz out".

They make product that you spray in your hair before you use a straightening iron that is supposed to keep your hair from getting frizzy throughout the day. I don't know personally, as my own hair is straight as a board, but maybe it's worth a shot to try it out?

silicone base hair gloss helps because it coats your strands and helps to lock out the humidy. you need an antihumectant. this locks the moisure out of your hair and keeps the humitiy from penetrating. aveda products has an antihumectant pomade and and a silicone based emollient for hair. these hep me a great deal. when you want to go curly, use the humectant pomade to allow the moisture to penetrate your hair. aveda.com
