make sure it's 100% dry and 100% COOL when you are done straightening. If it's still warm to the touch, it hasn't "set."

How I keep my hair straight and non-frizzy:

I use Rusk Str8 Anti-Frizz/Anti-curl lotion and apply it to my towel-dried hair. I then blow dry my hair using a round bristle brush - brushing it straight down with the hairdryer in the other hand. After it's dry, I apply about a dime to quarter size amount of Biosilk Silk Therapy Serum all over my hair. Then I use a Chi flat iron to straighten it. It stays straight all day for me. Good luck.

After you wash your hair, you want to use a product that protects your hair from heating instruments, (i.e. curling iron). I would recommend Shine and Smooth by LaCoupe, or any product that doesnt contain harsh chemicals and are heavy. This will help keep that smoothness throughout the day. There are so many products out there, just try a few to see which works the best for you. And remember to condition the hair, damaged hair will look worse when straightened.
