my birthday is on monday and i want my hair to look extra good. i hate getting up early to take a shower, blow, dry my hair, and then straighten it. i could straighten it before i go to bed but then i usually wake up and it already feels a bit dirty. what can i do to either speed up the morning process , or make my hair stay straight all night?
I want my hair to remain straight.?
oh, i know a lot about this.
if i were you, i'd wash my hair Sunday night with a good moisturizing shampoo or conditioner.
while my hair is still wet, put a little (quarter size amount) bit of...they usually sell after-shower "straightening" or "frizz free" creams--most brands are pretty cool. put that in and air dry. Blow drying is alright, but it can lead to dry/split-ended hair later on, which isn't such a hot look.
sleep or wait. I'd sleep.
in the morning:
when you go to straighten your hair (I hope you are using a ceramic-plated iron or something of the like) try a pre-straightening solution--something that says maybe "heat tamer spray" (Treseme鑼? find it anywhere for a few dollars) or "Heat glide" (Redken, at salons for a few more dollars) and use that to straighten.
this part is pretty essential because these solutions keep your hair from being damaged by the straightening while they keep humidity/moisture from frizzing up a shiny, sleek looking style.
next, if you want, add a little (very little) bit of hairspray or a smoothing cream, or whatever else to add some shape/body.
I've been so, so happy with Bed Head by Tigi's After-Party stuff.
I know it sounds like a whole lot, but I have the curliest hair and it sounds like so much more when you write it down...and...it looks amazing when I straighten it (...not to show off or anything).
depending on how long your hair is, it should take you maybe 15-20 minutes to do a really thorough job.
happy birfday!

have a shower before you go to bed and then in the morning you could just straighten it. Thats what I do most the time, even though its harder to straighten. You could also get it perma. straightened at a hair salon. Its just like getting a perm but they striaghten it. I dont know the cost tho. Good luck :)

Um well you can straghten it (you know how..i think) then you can spray it with any kind of extra hold spay. i do it all the time before school.

i keep my hair straight by using a bunch of rubber bands to tie along my hair, like every inch long. it works.

Straighten your hair moist, it will keep moisture in and it will make your hair softer. I don't straighten my hair wet because its harder to do. My friends mom straightens my hair but if your good at straightening try that. Also pin up your hair if you don't and straighten it slower it may take longer but its worth the time
