Ok i went to the salon recently to get my hair straightened. I got it pretty straight its just the back of my hair that curls a bit and my bangs barely curly its just like a super small flip on some hairstrands on my bangs. i bought a hair straightener but it seems like its not working like i need it. i want my bangs flat i mean totally flat not barely curled not off my forhead a bit just want them flat. i need them flat by school tomarrow morning so can someone suggest something i can do while getting ready for school in the morning?

Make sure your straightener is set to the hottest possible setting.

Then let it warm up for a good 2-3 minutes.

Then straighten. That will straighten it the best.

you should try and use gel or hair spray to keep it strait (after you flatten it).

you can get a flattening iron and do it every day, it takes time though, so you either have to get ready faster and straighten, or straighten and get up earlier so you have more time to do other stuff.

go get a perm from a store, mix as directed and put on hair, do not use rollers...use comb to make straight...this will work..what my girlfriend uses on her hair...

i had the same problem. I would get my shower the night before school and If your hair is really curly than I would prep straighten it the night before. And in the morning I used to use my CHI straightener it worked awesome before it broke and now I'm pissed.

there is some cool frizz ease brand stuff that I used and really liked. It came in a cream form, in a white bottle. I think it was just called something like "straightening cream." I really need to get some more. If the heat is adjustable, you could try turning up the heat a bit. Too much is not great, but for those special occasions, I can relate!

Did you read the hair iron instructions properly? They are usually very effective. You need to keep your hair between the iron for at least 15 seconds - taking care not to burn your hair at the same time.

I can't help in time for tomorrow but for future reference you need to use something like 'Frizzease' and/or a hair straightener of good quality with ceramic blades. Hope that helps. the only thing that might help a bit for tomorrow is to use clips to pin the hair flat and hope it works. Good luck.

Well, I suggest a better hair straightener. My hair straighter it makes my hair perfectly straight. (and my hair is really curly.) My straightener is the Chi turbo flat iron. http://www.originalchi.com/

Or you could buy straightening balm from a hairsalon, and use it right after you use your hairstraightener, and you'll have perfectly straight hair, and your good to go. I hope that helps!

tonight, when you take a shower.. damp your hair with lots and lots of conditioner or hair mask. then afterwards when it's time for you to blow dry your hair.. well, before you blow dry your hair, put NEUTROGENA anti-frizz cream. then dry your hair and focus close to the scalp and use pointy-teeth comb. If that doesn't work. use your iron.

If your hair straightener isn't hot enough/isn't working, you probably need a GHD one! But in the case that you can't run out and spend a couple of hundred dollars...

Dampen your hair and blow dry it straight with a hot dryer and a brush.

Keep in mind that if your hair is naturally very curly, as soon as it grows a little you will start to get wavy/curly at the roots.
