i have short naturally wavy hair and a ton of layers. ever since i cut it, it's less wavy but it's a blunt cut so i have to make it as straight as possible. even after i blow dry it straight and use a flat iron, there's still a ton of kinks in it and it looks really shaggy. i'm also trying to grow my hair out so i want to protect it against too much damage. are there products that will do that?
How do i make my hair as straight as possible w/out chemical straightening and a lot of damage so it's healthy
There's no way you can make your hair super straight without damaging it either chemically or thermally.
If you want your hair to grow out faster/in better health LEAVE IT ALONE!
Go online and look for style of cute wavy hair. Put in a little spray so that it won't frizz and fly away everywhere. Brush it when it's wet right after you get otu of the shower.
But if you really want it to be straight, you have to subject it to some sort of heat or get it permenantly straightened [which I did, and still end up straightening my hair.]
You can try doing hot oil treatments [available at Sally's Beauty Supply] and goign to sally's and asking for protein fillers for your hair.
You can also put olive oil in your hair nightly to help minimize any asthetic damage [though not 100%].
